Welcome to the Center for Insect Research and Development (CIRD)....
We believe that insects hold the key to solving some of the most pressing challenges of our time — from food security and environmental conservation to health and sustainable livelihoods.
Founded in 2019 as a social enterprise in Uganda, CIRD pioneers innovative, evidence-based solutions that transform insects into powerful tools for income generation, climate resilience, and human and animal health.
